A Year in Review

-->
I can't believe 2009 is almost over...how time flies!!!! Over the past few days, I've been thinking about all of the blessings that the Lord has given us this year. How grateful I am to have such blessings, a loving husband, wonderful family, and fabulous friends :-) Here are some of the many blessings from 2009:

1. Mike and I celebrating our 1 year anniversary
2. Buying our first house

3. Adding 2 new family members - our guinea pigs, Miss Piggy and Fozzy

4. Vacationing with family
5. Finding our first puppy (pics will come later)
6. Enjoying Katie and Laura's beautiful weddings

7. Being able to see my daddy even though he's working in Springfield, MO
8. Meeting new friends

Now on to 2010!

Wii Fit Plus

So, for Christmas my family got Mike and I a Wii Fit Plus and I love it!!! It's only my second day to play with it, but it is SO much fun! I love how it tracks your BMI, weight, and calories burned. It also allows you to choose a calorie/weight/BMI goal and helps you meet those goals. My favorite game so far is the Balancing game where you have to head-butt the soccer balls, and dodge any other flying objects. I was horrible at first, but I've gotten better! Mike was laughing at me when I first started. I also like to the Kung-Fu rhythm exercise! It really works my arms!!!! I highly recommend the Wii Fit to anyone.

Infection...ugh!

So, I've been looking forward to 2 weeks off for Christmas Break. Little did I know, I would get one extra day off due to a sinus and throat infection! For the past 2 weeks, I've had really bad allergy congestion, or so I thought. My throat started hurting Thursday night, and Friday I woke up with a fever of 102! Needless to say, I had to miss the last day of school before break. I was pretty upset because the teachers had planned to perform a Christmas readers theater for the school, and the class Christmas party was that afternoon. I wanted to be there so bad! I couldn't give my students their Christmas gift from me, and I couldn't celebrate with them. On a good note, my good friend/coworker Sharon Poole, brought all of the goodies that my students got me for Christmas to me after school...so sweet of her. I got sweet Get Well Soon cards from my class, as well as, some really sweet gifts. I got our awesome Razorback painting from the whole class that we helped create with our hands. I can't wait to put it in my classroom!!!

So, while my Christmas break hasn't started the way I wanted it to, I am feeling much better and will hopefully get to enjoy the rest of my break :-)
