Bella

Mike and I found a new puppy!!! We have been looking for a border collie mix for the past several weeks...newspaper, internet, and shelters. On Valentine's Day, I happened to look in the Classified section and found an ad for 7 free border collie mix puppies in Bryant. Mike called and we went! All 7 of the puppies came around the corner and were SO adorable & hyper!!! We narrowed it down to Bella and the little boy runt who looked like their daddy (a German Shepherd). We brought Bella home that day, and have enjoyed our first week. She is such a sweet and smart puppy! She can already go up and down the stairs leading from our deck to the backyard.

The first week has been tiring because she is SO active and loves attention. She gets so excited when Mike and I get home...her tail wags constantly! She also makes the cutest noise when she yawns...I'll try to get video of it :-)

This was Bella's first bath...she did well, but was not a fan of being wet and cold.

She was exhausted after her first day in a new home...so cute!

Valentine's Partay!!!

After 3 snow days, we were back to school. After practicing for our PTA performance and spending an hour in P.E., we had our class Valentine's Party!! The students competed to be the first pair to make a snowman out of toilet paper, streamers, and construction paper. They did such a good job! We had fun passing out Valentine cards, eating yummy food, and watching Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown. Here are a few pictures of them creating their snowmen.

Snow Day 2010

To my surprise this morning, there were several inches of snow covering everything!!! To follow, was the great news that I didn't have to go to work due to the weather!!! To make the snow day better, Mike didn't have to go to work either :-) We both started out watching movies, until our power went out. We were without power for about 2.5 hours. During this time, we broke out one of Mike's huge puzzles...I gave up pretty quickly, but Mike is still working on it. Thankfully, we are now with power and HEAT!!! Here are a few pictures of the snow around our house...

Our mailbox. When I went to get the mail, I totally stepped in a huge mound of water-filled slush...not cool!

Our house covered in snow!!! The lighter parts are where the rain water has gone under the snow. Should make things interesting tomorrow.

The trees were so beautiful covered in snow!
